For those of us on Directv or Dish network, this is potentially bad news. Directv has been having trouble with Comcast owned channels and have lost some of them due to excessive demands on the cost of carrying them.
NBC/Universal owns around 30 of the cable channels - Bravo, USA, SyFy, Universal Movies, and I'm not sure what else. This could come down to a battle of wills and a rise in the costs of fees or withholding them completely.
Then again this could be a moot point and nothing could happen. We will just have to wait and see.
