JD (John David) Souther has died at 78. His name might not be familiar to a lot of you. He wrote or co-wrote many of the Eagles hits and was almost a founding member of the group. He was also instrumental in Linda Ronstadt's career as a writer and partner. He was a big part of the California movement with Jackson Browne, Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Linda, and Stevie Nicks.
