Charles N. Brown died in his sleep on July 12 while returning home from ReaderCon. He was publisher of Locus for all these many years and was the leader in the way new was passed along to science fictions fans all over the world kept up with the events in fandom. We had met only a couple of times over the years but he was an inspiration to most of the fan editors I know.
Locus will continue.
