Two novels of classic adventure coming soon
Tarzana, California (June 29, 2022) The groundbreaking Edgar Rice Burroughs Universe series continues with two novels of classic adventure by John Eric Holmes!
Mahars of Pellucidar tells the tale of Chris West, a new hero who is transported to the prehistoric world of Pellucidar, which was first introduced in Edgar Rice Burroughs’ classic novel At the Earth’s Core. Mahars of Pellucidar was originally published in a mass market paperback edition by Ace Books in 1976, and this new release from Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc., marks the first time the novel has been made available in a hardcover edition!
Red Axe of Pellucidar, the exciting sequel to Mahars of Pellucidar, achieved cult status in the decades since it was written and has never appeared in print in a professionally published, authorized edition—until now!
Preorders of both books are now available directly from ERB, Inc. Softcover and hardcover editions, as well as limited Collector’s Editions with signed bookplates, will be available in a simultaneous release. The novels are expected to ship to customers Late Summer 2022.

Writers of the Future, Volume 38
Writers of the Future, Volume 38, edited by David Farland, Bridge Publications, $19.99, available from your favorite bookseller.
There are few things you can count on anymore, and the older I get the fewer they become. It seems like summer starts after the first day of spring. Death and taxes are still certain; college football will be on time; and the annual release of LRH's WRITERS OF THE FUTURE will have some exciting new writers, illustrators and tips from professionals.
Sadly, this will be the last volume edited by the late David Farland. He will be greatly missed as an editor and creator. Dave won the competition in 1987 and met him shortly thereafter.
This volume starts off with a terrific cover by Bob Eggleton and features sixteen full color illustrations for the stories. The artists will definitely be names you will see in the future.
The stories begin with “Agatha’s Monster” by Azure Arther which tells us what happens when a Hunter ends up being best friends with a "monster".
Do you remember how tough elementary school was? “The Squid Is My Brother” by Mike Jack Stoumbos tells us his take on it.
“Tsuu, Tsuu, Kasva Suuremasse” by Rebecca E. Treasure is a story of the Napoleonic War and a brave attempy by Emily to save her family.
Psychic poker, genetic engineering, trying to save a dying planet, memory transfer, and a Neanderthal shaman are some of the other ideas presented in other enjoyable tales.
Other stories by LRH, Frank Herbert, and David Farland round out this amazing anthology. that has something for everyone.
Don't wait, go pick up a copy today.

Tarzan and the Forest of Stone
by Jeffrey J. Mariotte
Cover art by Douglas Klauba
Frontispiece by Chris Gardner
After Tarzan departs Southern California following a visit with a dear friend, bandits mysteriously dressed as cowboys straight out of the Old West waylay his train and make off with a precious Native American artifact—taking the daughter of the relic’s owner hostage in the process. Now Tarzan must set off on foot from the train’s wrecked and twisted ruins in pursuit of the criminals, making his way across the American Southwest, a land as different from his jungle homeland as can be imagined. But even as Tarzan closes in on his prey, a ruthless killer follows close at his heels, intent on bringing an end to the legendary Lord of the Jungle once and for all.
Tarzan and the Forest of Stone is available in softcover and hardcover editions, as well as a hardcover Collector’s Edition with a signed bookplate.
